I've been shipping them for yearrrrrrs and I loved your take on their relationship - even if it's just a friendship :) BUT i was wondering why you think Chad is so horrible? I always felt like something was off but could never put my finger on my I felt that way. Receipts are great too, haha
Thank-you so much! In my fic, I headcanon that she and Taylor do get together eventually, but not for another two or three years. The love she felt for Taylor in the fic was the strength of their friendship and it was healing for her.
Chad cheated on his previous wife, and he cheated on Hayley (listen to After Laughter again with that in mind). He has songs about how barely legal girls are easy to manipulate, basically, and he and Hayley met when she was eighteen. And she was a big fan of his band. That’s straight-up manipulation and abuse of power.
