🖋 for whatever character you're vibing with atm !! -chayscribbles
[Send me a “🖊+OC“ and I’ll talk about that OC!]
@chayscribbles I am vibing with... uh, let’s go with Dr. Zhaohui Shen (whom you folks know absolutely nothing about)!
Shen is Caelin’s mother! Or... was. Kinda. It’s confusing. She left her husband and child when Caelin was only about three of four years old, out the blue, with no explanation. The rumours that spread through the village following her disappearance were mostly negative: had she found another partner? That would explain why she seemed so distant all the time. Had she become too sick to come home? She was a medical doctor. Had the ship she left on sunk?
Shen wishes for nothing more than to be able to see her child again, but she’s not allowed to leave where she’s currently being held.
happy STS! if your characters could go back in time to change one moment in their life, what would it be? how would their life actually play out differently if they did it?
Hi Chay! Thanks for the ask!!! I'll do this for a few different character.
Fallon: She would go back and stop her mother's death. If she succeeded, things would be very, very different for her. For one, she wouldn't have become Queen unexpectedly, and she would have her mother's support once she did become Queen. (Anvian Queens can "retire" and allow their children to take the throne.) Also, she wouldn't have the trauma that came with her mother's death, which would be a good thing.
Kristopher: He would stop his sister from being married off. She didn't want it, and he didn't want her to leave, so it would be better for both of them. If she hadn't left, Kristopher would probably be a little bit better in terms of his self-destruction because there would be at least one person who cared about him and would try to keep him in check / from going too far. It wouldn't be perfect, but at least he would have one friend and a tiny bit of a support system with him in Oryn.
Dorian: He would prevent his parents' deaths. If this happened, Lenora wouldn't have become Queen, and he wouldn't have been imprisoned. Additionally, he wouldn't have this fictional version of his parents in his head that made him believe he needs to become King for them to be proud of him. He would be able to actually talk to them about his desires, and they would tell him directly that the most important thing to them is that he's happy. Also, Lenora might have had a chance to repair her relationship with her sister, which would be very interesting.
As a bonus, I'll talk about one of my dnd characters under the cut!
Thanks for stopping by, @chayscribbles -- gonna answer on the writing blog :) Have a treat -- I drew a quick sketch of the vibes of your blog personified! 🎃💛 Hope ya like it
