Cheap Fakes appeared on Vodka clear back in July 2013, but they are still going strong. Sisters is from the bands latest long-player, Deep Space (July 2018). From the jangle of the opening notes of Sisters to the wonderful horn fills after the first verse, this music grabs your body and sets it moving. The band is still very much a melding of styles, with elements of rock, r&b, ska, funk and more. All those styles are tuned carefully to work well together.
It’s been a few months since the actual release of Deep Space, and even though a tour was announced to promote the new long-player, no dates remain in the tour dates section of the band’s web site. So keep an eye out for them and hopefully they will be performing close to you in the near future. In the meantime, you have Deep Space to keep you company! There’s not much in the way of band bio information, you can find some information on the web site, which includes links to their social sites too.
