Checkered White

While butterfly populations in general have been reported lower in many areas this year, the local Checkered White numbers have been decidedly higher. One of the second brood of these attractive butterflies displayed its distinctive markings as it nectared on Daisy Fleabane.

A big ol' beetle and a cute little butterfly! Not sure what kind they are, tho (found in utah)

Cute friends!!! Definitely a scarab beetle, maybe a carrot beetle? I love them either way. The butterfly is probably a checkered white, but maybe a western white, I’d need more photos to tell! Great pals either way, thank you for sharing them :)
