chessgender/patterngender/checkergender/chessfluid/checkerfluid/patternfluid: a nonbinary/genderfluid identity in which one’s gender fluctuates in certain patterns. these patterns can fluctuate as well, and they can also bounce back and forth like a checkered pattern. can also be a kingender.

i needed this flag for a request and had to recreate it, and since it’s a pretty complex design i figured i’d post it! here’s the coining post.

flag id: a flag made up of three separate checkerboard patterns. each pattern is made up of 50x50 squares, which are each 1/12 of the length of the flag itself. roughly the top fifth and bottom fifth are made up of a red-and-black checkerboard, the second fifth and fourth fifth are made up of a black-and-white pattern, and the middle fifth is made up of a red-and-white pattern. the patterns do not flow perfectly into each other, thus leaving small rows of each pattern beside each other.

the parallel planes of black and white, the feeling of void and its deep expansion as well of the crushing pressure of a tight enclosed space. a coin means nothing when both sides of it interlace completely with nothing inbetween. two planes of reality, perfectly in sync, perfectly meshed, perfectly sound and peaceful in wavelength with all the choatic noise of contrast.

Checkergender flag!

I have no idea how many other people identify with checkerboard patterns so much that it's part of their gender, but I definitely do and I can't be a singular experience, so I made us a flag!!

I call it checkergender and this is the very first flag I've ever made, so I tried my best to make sure it wouldn't cause eyestrain or seizures if you scroll really fast. I believe the old disability flag did that so I don't wanna repeat that unfortunate result.

If you wanna try your hand at making a checkergender flag then please do, I'd love to see what you make! Please lmk what you think and definitely lmk if it's too hard on the eyes.

If you'd like to credit me then feel free, but you're allowed to just throw it on reference sheets and your intro posts and stuff without crediting me.
