A practice inspired by daemonism and imagimancy.

Have you ever wanted your own dragon? Great news: you may already have one! Dragonwork involves connecting with yourself through the construction of a mental dragon projected into reality. Through dragonwork, you connect with and care for yourself as you associate with a dragon of your own.

It's essentially me putting a name to a practice I've done all my life, that being working with mental dragons as a way of entertaining myself and encouraging self-care.

Didn't find what I was looking for in Immersive Daydreaming or Tulpamancy places.

And there's an odd concept floating around that making a non-sentient thoughtform = cruel or unethical? Which seems backwards, if someone doesn't want or isn't prepared for that, it's like getting someone a pet rabbit for Easter when they're better off with a stuffed animal.

And while looking I've found people who have expressed interest, so...

Trying to make a community/tag for people with non-autonomous (or fauxtonomous) imaginaries and thoughtform constructs, NPCs and such.

similar to/overlap with: daemonism, tulpamancy, soulbonding, self-shipping, immersive daydreaming, willomancy, (etc)

considered more or less plural-adjacent

focusing more on visualization/imagination tips/talk, ideas for useful constructs, etc. No pushing people into making thoughtforms autonomous if they don't want to!

(currently very alterhuman heavy / ties to alterhumanity in general but isn't required or officially an alterhuman thing)

not trying to reinvent and re-label things, there's just a gap between communities here

I'm sorry, but I really don't get how my personal decision to cope with auDHD offends you in any way.

Also not to mention, it really wasn't a choice. It just happened at first, and I chose to pay attention. Please don't tell me to end my own life over something I didn't ask for.

My experiences have nothing to do with you. Don't get caught up in the social media side of non-DID plurality, please. It makes you overthink everything that you experience and it's just going to make you hate yourself.

Coming from experience, you don't need to ask for validation. Don't seek a green-light from people who just want to hurt you. Just be you. Maybe you don't even have to label yourself, just know what you experience and leave it at that.

Hi! I’ve always considered myself a singlet, but I’ve been going down the plurality rabbit hole because I roleplay a fictional character, and have been doing so for months now. By this point, he has his own thoughts and feelings in our head that are separate from mine, and most days, I fail to turn his thoughts off and they end up playing at the same time as mine. He is still entirely existent in the story he is in, but we banter, and he’s started to have a little bit of control over my physical actions (although this is just by begging verbally- I’ve given him so much angst I can’t deny him LMAO.) I don’t hear him all the time, and have had no symptoms of switching, but at this point he feels like both a consciousness and one separate from my own. Does this make me a median or anything of the sort? What would I label that? You seemed knowledgeable on the topic, so I thought I might ask if you had an answer for me!

This sounds like the exact experience that originally resulted in the soulbonding community! This could also be considered a type of accidental tulpa (a headmate you create by in a tl;dr sense, interacting with the "idea" of them until they develop a consciousness, generally deliberately, but we've seen plenty be created via roleplay accidentally).

Soulbonding has a carrd we generally reccommend, though the community fluctuates and has recently had a kind of shift in which it's largely filled with a lot of selfshipper-esque stuff lately. So I'm not sure how easily you'll find earlier stuff outside of a few blogs on here.

For tulpas, we don't generally have a resource we always recommend other than r/tulpas over on reddit, though we can't vouch for them wholeheartedly because we haven't used it in years.

Regardless, you could absolutely consider this plurality if you wanted to. The line between "accidental tulpa" and "soulbond" in this case would essentially entirely depend on where you felt it fit best--I recommend poking around those communities to see what framework makes you both feel the best about it. The communities have such huge overlap due to rising separately in online spaces to describe experiences that can sometimes be largely very similar, so there's no real concrete line between them when some experiences could be either-or. Wishing you luck with it all!

Imagine coming into the tags if a niche community, trying to rewrite the community’s history to fit your hate-filled drama and then blocking the older members of the community when they correct you on … their own history.

Wild behaviour. Reminder that this community does NOT want to be involved in syscourse. It has nothing to do with daemonism. We have been in that community for THREE TIMES as long as we’ve known there were multiple people in this head. Very close to two decades. The vast majority of the community does not consider it plural. And yes, eudaimons are still a thing. Thom of Em is one of them and it had a rich history behind it.

I dont think it has always been that way or maybe it was but it never was as bothering before now. We can rarely communicated correctly internally anymore and its annoying
