It took several minutes and activity in the area to snap Ayumu out of his trance. At which point he was staring at Koemi's head.
It was a bit of a gruesome scene. That wasn't why he was staring. He had liked her. That wasn't why he was staring either. It was still shock, but he had to pull himself out of it and do this, or else.
The person who did this...the filthy murderer...they can't get away with it.
At which point he realized he was staring at his feet now.
Or rather, what was around them.
