Instagram vs. Reality LOL I love giving my self a little spa treatment after a week of workouts (and work stress). Sometimes that’s a massage from my boyfriend, a face mask while playing Tomb Raider (or Zelda) or just watching tv with snacks. While I am trying to lose weight, I have to be sure to enjoy the process and appreciate the work I’m putting in to achieve my fitness goals. When I was modeling, I lost a ton of weight by exercising 2x a day 3-4 days a week. I constantly felt I wasn’t good enough or thin enough; depriving myself of any “treat yo self” moments because I felt I didn’t deserve them till I was 115 lbs like other models my height (never got close to that low of body weight btw). I was eating pretty healthy but definitely restricted a lot of the foods I love (pasta, pizza, cheese, ice cream, hot dogs, etc.) While I looked great and was healthy physically, I wasn’t mentally. This time around I’m taking care of myself instead of using negative self talk to push me through workouts.
