In the past few months 3 of my elderly patients have passed away. All with nasty metastasising cancer. Last week I attended the service of a man who was the epitome of living life to the full. At 84 years old he exercised, volunteered, travelled, worked on his house, spent time with friends and family. His celebration of life was at Churchill Island where he volunteered for the last 12 years - complete with an amazing view, highland cattle, goats and Wallace the turkey.
