It's #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. #BreastCancer doesn't care that we're in a pandemic, so pleaae continue to keep up to date with your healthcare appointments. •Around 55 Australians are diagnosed with Breast Cancer, every day - that's more than 20,000 people diagnosed, every year. •1 in 7 women are diagnosed with Breast Cancer, in their lifetime. •Almost 3,000 people will lose their lives to Breast Cancer, this year. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is vital in educating, raising awareness and funds and supporting those affected by the disease. Make sure you check your breasts/pecs, regularly. (Anyone, regardless of sex, can get breast cancer - so get to know your chest & your "normal") Early detection saves lives. Know your normal and set aside a specific time every month to self-check your chest, armpits and collarbone. Be sure to visit your doctor if you spot anything unusual.
