💖 what’s a little detail or character headcanon you’ve written that you don’t think anyone’s noticed but you’re obsessed with?
ahhh! you really made me go back and deep dive into my works with this question.
i think my favorite detail that i've written for bucky is that he needs to be looking into the readers eyes. it feels like if he's going to bare his soul, then he's going to stare right into those eyes to see his universe standing in front of him. and he begs for it so often too.
in shelter from the storm:
“Please,” Bucky begs, his voice filled with a tinge of desperation. “I need you to look at me.” How could you deny a request like that? Your eyes shift over to him, you didn’t realize how close your faces were at first so you sit back a bit so you can properly look at him. His gaze was soft and his heart was beating out of his chest, as it so often did when you spared him a passing glance. “There they are.” He breathes out, his eyes searching yours.
and in traces of a lonely world (part two):
"You're standing in front of me and I still miss you." His hand slides down to cup your chin, tilting your head up. "Please let me look into these eyes one last time."
and in hearts on fire
“I don’t know …” his voice is delicate as he speaks. “Something about those eyes.”
also!!! a headcanon i have but don't nearly write enough is that bucky definitely curses like a sailor and he definitely smokes cigarettes and i think both are hot as fuck
