An enormous ship donned with the oh-to familiar marking of a pirate Emperor bobbed in the harbor, dwarfing the many small ships also settled for the time. The ship was empty except for the look out and a few of his friends not wanting to leave one of their friends alone. The rest of the pirates had ventured into the town. Older buildings, cobbled roads, surrounded by a forest that had to have some rather frightening wilderness he would suspect. It wouldn’t be odd for there to be bears or wolves or the like. Perhaps there was even another town nearby. Being alone on an island could be quite isolating.
It was a quaint town, that was for sure. Though they seemed to have what they needed. There was one tavern he had found, which was nice and had provided his men with a good place to sit and eat and have a good time. He had left for a moment, for little other reason than to admire the goods that merchants were selling in open tents along the road. Fresh fruit, vegetables, jewelry, knick knacks, all quite tempting for the pirate who had more than enough to spare.
