A classic cheeseburger with a juicy beef patty, melted cheese, and a special sauce is always a treat.
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices of American cheese. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup ketchup. 1/4 cup pickles, sliced. 1/4 cup lettuce, shredded. 1/4 cup tomato, sliced. 1/4 cup onion, sliced. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Warm up the grill or griddle on the stove over medium-high heat. Shape the ground beef into 4 burger patties that are all the same size. Add pepper and salt. For medium-rare, cook the patties for three to four minutes on each side on a grill or griddle. You can cook them longer if you want to. Each patty should have a slice of cheese added to it in the last minute of cooking. Cover to melt the cheese. Also, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are just barely brown while the patties are cooking. Put ketchup and mayonnaise in a small bowl and mix them together to make a unique sauce. Put the burgers together: Put some of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun. Put a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, then a burger patty with cheese that has melted on top of that. Put pickles, tomato, and onion on top. Put the top half of the bun on top of the stack to finish. Serve right away and enjoy!
