i absolutely love the ally system in look outside. there's such a strong theme of kindness and the way so many characters can become companions through dialogues and game choices gives such a hopeful undertone to the story. i love cosmic horror (especially trapped in an apartment!) and i think the game's emphasis on story makes the characters so so compelling. yes a lot of the endings are straight up body horror but there's an occasional positive good ending that really rewards being good. i've only felt such a huge overflow of mercy and determination from undertale before, and to see this in within a horror lens? oh man
Watching Kamisama Kiss and it's already a comfort show that feels so nostalgic, even though it's my first time watching it

how are the chainsaw man characters so breathtaking. why does reze look so ethereal. i'm obsessed with how drop dead gorgeous the lighting is in the reze scenes. reze fanart and the way the movie draws her makes me wanna watch the movie in theaters man
i am so down bad for lügner from frieren this demon has me in a chokehold. i can't explain why i like him. its the mix of long blonde hair + evil + devil horns triple whammy combo. a friend that read frieren told me that she straight up wouldn't have remembered lugner's name if it weren't for me hyping him up so much before she got into the manga. people like me are why frieren kills demons
so was anyone gonna tell me akaza's blood demon art being the compass needle like koyuki's hair pin. his pink hair being like her kimono. the theory that the tattoos on his chest kinda look like part of her name (??). crying throwing up he's so down bad it's driving me insane
I finished MADK and it was such a gut punch. I love J and how weirdly toxic and messed up all the demons are. The political power dynamics , the power of names , the way all these demons have unrequited love, the absolutely breathtaking art,,, the ending is fitting but I don't particularly find it satisfying lol. Considering how much of an emphasis is placed on Mako being "different" / a human becoming demon rather than purely demon, I wanted Mako and J to break the cycle rather than perpetuate the loop. J's design is absolutely beautiful and he steals the show for me hands down (it also doesn't help I really like Lugner from Frieren, who has a similar vibe...). Still a banger read and I hope to see more works by the same author / feel free to rec any! (also justice for Datenshou at least he has a bird guy that genuinely cares about him). Don't mind me imagining/planning a fix it fic where J is happy and alive and in love and all the demons' unrequited loves get reciprocated 🫡
