Yeah, I know that goes. Shit, this city is the WORST for fauxprogressives (esp in terms of intersectionality) I think I also spare myself a lot of that frustration online by using tumblr savior too though.

I almost feel like you have to actively try to avoid POCs if you live in a big city. It takes talent. I know making friends is difficult but if you and all your dozen friends are white...SUSPECT! 

And there is ZERO excuse for not having POC friends on Tumblr.

I’ve thought that, but then I think about how unenthusiastic I am engaging with wonderbread users. I’d rather they not, and I’d rather they keep their distance especially if almost every post is stale with the occasional bit of substance/interest

I must just follow really good white folks. I think I have good radar when it comes to that. I was serious about that post not being about anyone I follow/who follows me. 

But you know these White Feminist types who act soooo progressive and are like "I believe in intersectionality!". Their blogs are filled with pictures of them and their friends, not one of them is a POC. And then all the people they talk to and interact with are white. There is no reason to only associate with white people on Tumblr. The Joss Whedons/Tim Wises of Tumblr I stg. 

I mean I live in bumfuck nowhere rural AZ, you know that. And my real life here friends, more POCs than not. It's not like they are hiding, especially when you live in a major metropolitan city or a college town you know?

Oh my god, I love you and all the feels. that’s so damn cute, and I’ve been trying to calm down from work shit and you just made my night. I don’t even watch that show, but I feel it, and you just made everything a little better.

So Scandal Ep2 that aired, I watched it last night. I cried so hard that I was hiccuping. Like anything involving Huck and Olivia. If you've seen it, I will barf in your inbox about it. But yeah, I get emotionally invested here. Don't watch shows with me. I scream at the tv, I throw things, I cry, I laugh so hard I pee and have to pause. 

I am glad my pain gave you joy. That is why this friendship works LOL

Wow… um, no. My mom works at an Albertsons somewhere around there, and no. People in Snotsdale are horrible, I don’t know how you did it. You deserve a medal for putting up with a bs event, and having to walk in cute shoes that killed your feet.

The lure of CC was just too much for me. I stayed there, kept holding out hope I could grab her or something. We stayed until past midnight and by that point, she was moving for the doors so I was like fuck it. At least tomorrow I get all you can eat sushi in Chandler and Depeche Mode in Avondale.

Thanks, bb. I just feel bad too because I feel like the charity is going to suffer. I talked to a few people who said they would not be back next year or make donations again. :( The general feel from the VIPs I talked to was that the hotel misrepresented things.

It was right by Biltmore, if that tells you anything. Like smack in the middle of Old Towne. I could see the fucking Fashion Mall from the event.

I'm not ashamed to say that as soon as we got into the car, I burst into tears. I had a good cry and then we went to a bar, had a beer and some spicy apps, and everything was a little better.

Saying it was a disorganized clusterfuck is giving it WAY too much credit. I'm worried if the hotel does these sort of things all the time, you know? I feel bad for other charities.

I wish. It’s sad because as much as I can’t get some things out here without making a day of it, there’s also the fact that the locally grown chiles are weak as fuck, It’s like the state is against flavor, and i’m happy to be its enemy.

Damn, I wish you would have told me this before because I had a chance to buy 50lbs of chiles for cheeeeeap (it was like $20.50) but I was like that is way too much for me! I could have roasted them off and sent half to you! 

Next time when I am coming up, I will bring you an assortment of chiles. When it gets closer, I will bug you for your faves. 

And I am totally growing those jalapenis ones. :)
