okay, i said something i clearly shouldn't have said and for that i am sorry. truly.
just a question: i didn't exactly express it in any proper way i guess, but is it still cultural appropriation if i, for example, were to spend a lot of time around people who regularly use AAVE and then subconsciously incorporate elements of that into my speech -- not in an ironic way, not to highlight any perceived differences between me and AAVE speakers, and not to make them the butt of my jokes, but simply because it's the norm for me? and if no, where exactly does the line go?
because that's what i was getting at with the language change thing, except i obviously did not express it like that, which i should have. i think it's probably cause i was just putting it in the tags and didn't intend for it to distract from the post i wanted to make
which is that aave means ghost and i find that funny
but yeah, i said a bad thing, and i'm sorry.
