Best thing to do is to make some sort of OC that makes food so if you see any cool foods you can make that a dish they can make/have made. And if you need some ideas on what to write them doing for a fic, simply have them cook, one of those dishes.
This is also great if you keep stumbling upon some aesthetically pleasing foods and cannot reach into the screen and eat those foods. And need to unleash your natural desire and joy of seeing that food somehow
