oh gosh i love networks! they're a great way of making friends. i just think the anon meant that the people who don't make it in feel worse about their blogs? they think they're not as good maybe (which is obvious bullshit everyone's blog is perfect)

i love networks too, for the same reason! and trust me i totally understand that! i've probably reblogged 20+ networks posts, and i've only gotten in 3! i mean, obviously it's all about blog taste, everyone likes different things. it's really similar with blog rates. someone might glance at your blog and think its gorgeous and another person might hate it. but yeah, hopefully anyone that doesnt get accepted for the holmies the first round doesn't feel bad about their blog AT ALL. that isn't the intention here at all. keep in mind that its semi-random too just because there are soo many blogs and a lot of them are very similar, as in a lot are like flawless, so choosing is hard and yeah a bit luck of the draw haha

idk what about the post made our network seem "elite" to that anon. and honestly, i dont think all networks are elitist, i mean, they just choose semi-randomly a bunch of bloggers to come together for a common interest. as far as the holmies goes, we're looking for someone with a nice/clean blog mainly so everyone is on the same page with blog/blogging style, how we want to present ourselves on tumblr, idk things like that? so helping each other out with html, theme stuff, blog advice is all the more relevant for each other? but, think of it as you will, if you're into networks you're into them, if not that's cool!
