Across the mountain, from top of the hill 💙 Chelela pass 3988 meters above the sea level (13083 ft.) is one of the most beautiful motorable pass in Bhutan. There are different hiking routes around this pass with scenic views of the valley of Haa and Paro. If you hike up to the left side of the pass for 45 minutes (while facing towards Haa valley), it brings to the highest point of the trails with almost 4200 meters asl with such a breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas. This would be a perfect place for meditation for hours! You will be lost with the 360° views it offers - i bet you! The nature, different species of flowers including the national flower of Bhutan known as Blue poppy etc..are the main attraction here. Fluttering of the colorful prayer flags with the soothing cool mountain breeze would be another beauty about this place. A place must be explored time and again! To the right hand side of the roads, the gradual climb to the top leads to Chelela Trek for 3 days which ends at Haa valley or vise versa. It has a distance view of the Mount Kanchenjunga (8586 meters) the 3rd highest mountain if the world, Mount Jomolhari (7326 m) sometime known as the bride of Kenchenjunga, Jichudarkey (6989 m) and Tsherimgang ( 6789 m) are seen in the clear weather. There is another beautiful hike to a Buddhist nunnery from the top, which takes 2 hours.
