blog update

hi there! so you may (or may not) have noticed that i haven’t really been around all that much and tbh there’s a few reasons for that, but one of them is kinda hard and it’s taken me a while to write and post this because it highkey breaks my heart :( i really hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way but essentially, the reason i haven’t been around a ton is because my heart just isn’t really in my blog or my writing right now :/

the biggest reason for this is the one that breaks my heart most and it’s simply because i’ve gradually been losing interest in astro over the last year and a bit and i think it really shows in my writing and posts. don’t get me wrong, i still Love all the astro members with my whole heart, all of them truly mean the world to me because if it weren’t for them i don’t know where i would be right now, and i wouldn’t have found so many groups i adore at the moment. astro were the first kpop group i ever got in to and they will forever hold a special place in my heart. but unfortunately, with the fact they didn’t have a comeback for over a year (which was NOT their fault AT ALL and was a really really terrible situation and i feel for them so much and was so scared for them), it gave me time to explore other kpop groups and i just happened to fall equally or more in love with them than i was with astro. 

i’ve also just been SO BUSY with school. it’s been so hard to keep up with everything going on because i don’t really have time all that often. i knew university would be a big time commitment, school always was for me, but this year has been a lot more than what i originally anticipated and it made everything really difficult to balance, especially writing because that takes such a large time commitment for me, and with my mental health not being the greatest recently, i couldn’t find the motivation to come spend a lot of time keeping up with things.

also also, i’ve had such bad writers block the last few months. i’m not sure if that has to do with the fact that i’ve slowly been losing interest in astro so it’s made writing about them difficult, or if they’re 2 totally separate issues but either way, writing has been very very hard for me. i don’t know if i’m going to finish any of my current wips, and if i do, the only one i can really see myself finishing is my single dad jinjin au. i think in the future, i could potentially write for another group or even for astro again, but i can’t see myself writing for astro specifically anytime soon.

on top of all this, i’ve never felt 100% comfy in aroha. there’s a lot of things going on there and i’m not pointing to anyone in particular or talking about any specific thing that happened because tbh, nothing negative has happened to me personally. BUT from my experience (nearly 2 years now), i’ve never felt like i could genuinely voice my opinion on astro the way i can with other groups and that’s really fucking sad, to be honest. either way, i’m not going to get into this fully but know that i’ve always adored astro, i just never particularly loved (most of) aroha.

i completely understand if anyone wants to unfollow me because of this. before you do, know that i’m not going to stop reblogging or talking about astro, because i definitely will. i’m going to follow and support astro for as long as i’m still into kpop, and i don’t really see that changing. i haven’t decided if i’m going to finish or delete my current wips, but i’m still working on some of them because i love the stories and really want to finish posting them as they were meant to be posted. (like i said, i’m planning to finish my single dad jinjin fic for sure because that au is my favourite that i’ve created.) but overall, i think i’m going to be posting more of the other groups that i’m into at the moment, and so as to not mislead anyone into thinking i’m still mainly an astro blog, i’ll probably change my url too (but i will save the name because getting this blog name was a huge accomplishment for me and who knows what the future will hold !) i really really hope you can understand and that most of you stay following me because i will be around! i’m so thankful for all the friends i’ve made because of astro and i’m also so thankful for everyone who has supported me on this blog and for my astro writing.

i love all of you a lot! and i’ll be back once i have more time because exams are coming up in two weeks and i’m Very busy atm.
