She yelped when she felt Miss Aiko’s hand slide over her own, eyes darting quickly and worriedly up at her. Was it a mistake? Probably not. Then why-?

Would it be rude to pull away? Would it be weird not to? She didn’t hold hands with... like anyone... even with her sister they’d more often simply link arms. What is one supposed to do in this situation?

She supposed all she could do was let it happen. Her cheeks rapidly turned red, and her eyes darted down to their feet, but she didn’t pull away.

And she might have squeezed her hand a little harder.
