A few days ago, I watched a documentary about “Fika” in Swedish culture. It’s a concept which means making time to share a cup of coffee (and a little something to eat) with friends, colleagues, or simply spend some time with yourself. In Chengdu, people love catching up with friends over a cup of tea. There are tea houses everywhere: on the streets, in the courtyards, in the parks... One small table, two bamboo chairs, a few cups of tea and a lot of talking—Chengdu people definitely know how to enjoy their lives. Of course, there are tea houses in other cities as well, but in Chengdu, drinking tea is more about relationship than consumption. Just like fika, it’s a way of life. 🍵 What’s your favorite way of spending time? #lifestyle #chengdulife #teaculture #fika #travelinchina #sliceoflife #tinyeyescomics (at Chengdu, Sichuan) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4PhOy9C89L/?igshid=1hz3om5uadn5j
