Fiercely critical of Abraham Lincoln and at times racist, this newspaper’s leader columns did not always get it right
the guardian has a really nice API thingy that allows you to search and retrieve articles from about 1950 to now. around 25,000 articles appear when searching for “korea”.
and i’ve been slowly going through them, but so far it looks like all trash to me.
here’s one: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/sep/24/north-korea-accused-of-killing-south-korean-official-and-burning-his-body
Earlier that year [2010], 46 South Korean sailors died when their vessel, the Cheonan, was struck by a North Korean torpedo off the coast of nearby Baengnyeong island.
this article is dated september 24, 2020. not too long ago, and they’re still pushing this false narrative propaganda that the cheonan was sunk by a north korean german-made torpedo with fresh marker markings with ink traced to a south korean ink factory. all this has already been debunked through the years. and here they are still pushing this crap.

Finished up with my classes today and decided to have a little wander after making my way back to my apartment. My little wander led me to a suspended walkway above one of the main roads next to my neighborhood, as well as the creek that’s at the center of my favorite local walking path. PS: Shout-out to the older gentleman who was walking around nearby, stopped by to see what the weird foreigner was doing, and let me pet his cute dog!

The sun shines brightly, much like the pride of Korea.
