A light within the darkness (loyalshipping Drabble)
A Drabble request from @cheriaxbarnes for Loyalshipping (Yuri X Rio). Well here you go!
Floating in the darkness, alone, Yuri was he slowly falling further into the abyss. He Had succumbed to a curse of some kind that was burning his entire world, his being, and sending him into the dark.
His clothing was tattered, ripped, and covered with blood, his skin was pale, his eyes were empty and his expression was a weak one, as blood ran from the corner of his mouth.
Yuri!
“Whose that…?” He asked as there was nothing or no one here as far as he could see.
Yuri! Can you hear me?!
“Who’s there…?” He asked again as the voice echoed as he was more clearer.
Suddenly the darkness began filled with fiery lights that surrounded him. Images within these lights flashed before his eyes, they seemed familiar to him. As they should, they were his memories…
Suddenly the flames combined and formed a figure, they shaped and formed a person who floated above Yuri. Finally in a blinding light the figure manifested as there floated a younger version of the Fusion boy, wearing a cloak and having the same expression on his face.
“Oh… Of course… It’s me…” Yuri answered as this version stared at him
“Do you understand why you’re here…?>
"I’m dying…” Yuri answered as he slowly blinked
"Tell me Yuri… Was it worth it all in the end? The lives you ruined, the blood you shed…"
Yuri didn’t answer this being’s question as he just sighed, he felt weak, and tired. He was slipping further away into the dark, and soon he would cease to exist.
“Yes…” He finally spoke in a much weaker voice
"Why…? Tell me why it was worth it? What reason could their possibly be for that?" Yuri!
The manifestation and Yuri looked in the direction of where this other voice was calling from as a small white light in the distance flickered each time Yuri’s name was called out. A faint smile suddenly formed on Yuri’s face as he recognised the voice, it was voice of a girl.
“You wanted to know why…? There’s your answer…” Yuri said as some colour began to show in his skin.
Yuri! Come back!
“She’s is the reason… She’s why it was worth it, everything I’ve done… I’ve done for her…” Yuri told the manifestation as his voice sounded much stronger.
Yuri, come back to me! Please!
“And as you can hear… She’s calling me…” Yuri said as he smirked at the manifestation which suddenly burst into flames as it vanished while the white light grew larger and brighter chasing the darkness away.
“Rio…” he simply said as he stopped falling as started to ascend closer into the light.
(In the real world)
Rio was knelt over an unconscious Yuri, a strange silver blade was lodged in his chest, it was glowing a dark purple. It was the source of the curse that was sending Yuri’s soul into oblivion. The girl face was buried in his chest, she cried as she tried everything to remove the cursed blade but to no avail.
“YURI! Please come back! Don’t let it take you!” She begged her lover to wake up as she attempted once more to try and pull it out, immediately upon touching it she screamed in pain as the objected burned her, her palms already scarred with burns as she attempted to pull a few times she risked doing it again.
“Yuri…! You have to w-wake up! Please…” Rio pleaded with the unconscious boy as he her hand were starting to burn in pain
“I don’t care! I don’t care if you skin burns off! I won’t let you die!!!” she shouted as tightly gripping the blade as it continued to burn her.
“Yuri! Y-Yuri! YURI!!!” she shouted his name again and again, tears continued to flow from her eyes
“Stop yelling Rio…” Her eyes opened wide as she heard a voice she thought she’d never hear as she slowly looked down to see Yuri’s eyes opened looking at her with his vacant expression.
“Why do you always have to yell…? You’re voice can wake the dead, and cut through the darkness…” Yuri said as it was Rio’s voice that called out to him in the darkness, her voice was the light was called him back.
“Yuri…” She simply said as the boy then sat up and effortless pulled the blade out his chest and threw to one side.
Rio’s expression was a shocked one as she both relieved and confused. She then look to see there was no wound where the knife had been inside of Yuri, the curse was gone. Rio had saved Yuri…
“Seriously… What am I gonna do with you? You’ve hurt yourself trying to safe me… Why must you be so reckless…?” Yuri asked as he gently touched her burnt hands as he looked at her.
“My Yuri…” Rio said as he cried tears of joy, without warning she then hugged him tightly.
“I was so scared… I thought… I thought you were gonna die?” She said as she held him close, he then slowly put his arms around her.
“It’s okay… I’m okay now, all thanks to you… You’re light brought me back to you…” He said as he smiled sweetly.
