A Chance Meeting?

It was quite a cold day in Circhester, snow falling on the old and beautiful city in Galar’s Northeast. Madison was visiting the city for a couple days as both a vacation and training session. The rugged, snowy wilderness around the city were perfect for training his pokemon. There were also plenty of trainers around the city who were willing to have some friendly battles. It was a great combination. Besides, he couldn’t help but enjoy the idea of visiting some of the historic sites as well. The hero’s bath in particular sounded fascinating. However, at the moment, the man was quite cold.

“Oof... it’s quite chilly... we should probably get inside, huh?”

Madison asks his loyal Lucario companion, who was following along beside him, as he clutched onto the hem of his thicker jacket. His Pokemon nodded in agreement, and he looked around for a place to warm up. Ah, there we go, he thought. There was a cafe nearby, and the two swiftly made their way in. Now out of the cold, they took a second to sit down at a nearby table, slowly warming from the central heating.

“Let’s see about getting something while we’re here...”

He said, looking out into the restaurant to see if they had a visible menu. Might as well sit down for awhile, he thought.

“Pardon me young man, did you drop this?”

Not too far behind the trainer was a thin man. Flipping a larger coin with one hand. He’d seen this bit of money fall from the kid’s bag. Rolling a few feet away as it bounced on the ground. Grimsley gave the point another flip and held it firmly between his knuckles.

“It definitely came out of your pocket, but it sure traveled some distance. Like it was trying to get away of something.” He lightly jests.

“Thank you for the concern, Madison. I’m not sad though, but I do appreciate you looking after me!” [ Time to hide his feelings with a smile like he does every weekday! ] “Make sure you do the same for yourself though, alright?”

“Hrm... it looks kind of stormy, maybe I should head back to the city...”

Madison spoke aloud to himself, standing in one of the open grassy fields out in the Wild Area. He had been doing his regular training with his team, making sure they remained in tip top shape. If he was the champion now, he’d have to make sure they were in fighting form. But it seemed like a storm was quickly rolling in. Looking back to his Lucario companion, his facial expression showed his concern.

“What do you think? Maybe we should pack it in for today, I’d rather you guys not get completely soaked...”

Lucario nodded his head, showing his agreement. Madison nodded in return, figuring it’d be for the best. Reaching down to pick up his bag, he’d sling it over his shoulder. Time to head back, he thought.

A Day at the Beach

“Okay everyone! Let’s get the pot set up!”

Madison said happily as he finished setting up the tent. The young scholarly trainer was set up on a somewhat more isolated stretch of beach near Hulbury. Even though he was close to home, he felt it might be fun to go camping with his Pokemon, as they hadn’t done it in awhile. He stood up after putting in the last stake in the ground, turning back to his Pokemon team, all out of their balls and moving about the camp site. Rillaboom and Lucario were setting up the fire and stand, while Drifblim was carrying the cooking pot in it’s four arms over to the fire. As it was set up, Primarina filled the pot with water. They all worked together as an organized team. Watching them, Madison couldn’t help but smile. They had come a long way, he thought, and they were all such an organized team now.

Sitting down on a blanket in the sand next to his blue tent, he sat down his bag and opened it up to look through his supplies. He had plenty of berries, but he couldn’t decide on his main ingredient for the curry he wished to make. He made a ‘hmm’ sound to himself, digging through his bag.

“Hmm... mushroom curry...? Or maybe pasta? Pasta sounds good...”

He was deep in thought at this point. Madison liked to think he was a good cook, and he wanted this to turn out well. Thus, this was a very important point of deliberation.
