Lollipop Regressor // Cherry Lollipop Regressor
Based on the trope of lollipops being used as stand-ins for cigarettes, this is a term for those that feel nostalgia and get a sense of childhood comfort from adult/scary media, and whose regression is connected to said media. The color red represents adult themes as well as blood/gore, whichever you prefer ("cherry" is just to make the term more unique, lmao)
Coined for myself bc whenever I'm regressing I feel like watching movies like The Fly or an episode of Monsters Inside Me. I don't know why -- that sort of thing is just comforting to me, I think.
