‘ Hello, daddy. Hello, mom. I'm your ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb! ’
curiosity got the better of sweet pea as he watched the blossom girl walk around his side of town. northsiders should have been staying away considering recent events, ghoulies were out for them since the race. ❛ yo, northside princess!! you shouldn’t around here. especially alone, the ghoulies are out ever since the race. it isn’t SAFE. ❜ he warned her, eyes narrowing a little. since when did he care what happened to the northsiders? he supposed if he let her get ATTACKED, jones or someone would give him shit and the southside would get in even more stick than it was worth. ❛ you looking for someone?? ❜

“For the last time, I don’t want a giant cake, Cheryl.” More unnecessary spending. He sighed into the phone, leaning on the door. “Where do you suppose we would even put it?”

Prison sucked. The days were tolerable at best, just barely, if only because FP fell in with some people he knew from the outside, way back. They played dominos; they played cards; they played and gambled often on a game called two-bounce (or even four-bounce, if it felt like just two was getting too easy) – his prowess in this particular 'sport’ resulted in a mass of soda, coffee, and sometimes, secretly and in smaller quantities, cash.
But at night, well. At night, the wailing from the other inmates in cells surrounding him provided an unsettling soundtrack to the vision of Jason's corpse that he just couldn't shake. It wasn't as though FP could say, in good conscious, that he hadn't gotten himself in similar situations in the past, but this kid was different – he was just a kid.
So imagine his surprise when the guard told him he had a visitor. The daughter of the reason he was locked up to begin with (and the reason he was hopefully looking at far fewer years inside than he had thought, herself), right on the other side of the glass.

Jug paced around his side of the pool table at the Whyte Wyrm, letting himself chew on his thumb, trying to go over all of the things Tall Boy and the rest of the Serpents were saying - even his father. It was frustrating to hear them talk about the decisions of someone who could make her own, of someone who was seeking out some kind of refuge on the Southside. She hadn’t meddled, she hadn’t come here to leave her mark or act like this place was any part of her world. So far, in Jughead’s eyes, Cheryl Blossom was seeking out exactly what he was - family.
❛ You need to give it a rest. She hasn’t done a single thing to us to tell us her intentions are bad. She hasn’t ratted us out, hasn’t pulled Keller down here - she hasn’t threatened one of us about Jason - - ❜
But it was that comment that had the Serpents in uproar. The older group were completely against the idea that they had to change or accept in newbies, especially young girls who, by their standard, hadn’t lived life yet. Jughead didn’t know everything about Cheryl’s life but he knew enough to know that she had gone through more than half of these Serpents had ( and that was only including the things he did know ). So it frustrated him that he, Jughead Jones, was allowed membership and protection out of blood relation but she, Cheryl Blossom, wasn’t based on her blood relation to the Northside of town.
❛ She’s not even trying - ❜ he yelled over the chaos, his blood coming to a rapid boil, ❛ to even become a Serpent. All she’s been doing is visiting this side of town. Who gives a damn about that? Alice Cooper does it all the time and you’re perfectly fine with that, aren’t you, FP? ❜
