(Though, no one asked…. I’m saying this anyway): To explain why I portray Evil Jax a actually evil despite the irony of his character was because he’s supposed to be just the opposite of Jax’s asshole self;
• Using fake cruelty to push people away, to avoid getting himself hurt and possibly hurt others.
• Prefers to inflict physical pain because the cartoon world doesn’t leave marks, not does it last.
• Can’t handle vulnerability. Be it himself to others, or others to him.
• (According to the fandom…. He’s basically Kokichi…)
• Tries to mask his real feelings, but does a shit job at it
Then I 100% believe Evil Jax is:
• Using fake kindness to lure people in to suffer with him.
• He’s not against physical pain, but he prefers emotional and psychological because they burn more and cartoon physics can’t heal that for the next episode.
• In love with vulnerability of any kind. It’s his fucked up kink.
• (According to me… he’s straight up Amy Kirio…)
• Master actor. Master deceiver.
And same goes that if Pomni:
• Appears meek, timid, and helpless at first, but turns out to be a well reserved and confident woman.
• Bold when she needs to be.
• Gets babied a lot, but she has a brain of her own, and is pretty independent most of the time when her life isn’t (sort of) in danger.
• Not sporty, but not weak either.
• Cartoon logic made her physically strong.
• Can see through Jax’s bullshitting.
• Badass and confident on the outside, but on the inside she doesn’t know how to take care of herself.
• Big talk sailor mouth, but that’s all she is. Big talk.
• Plenty assume she’s got a brain, just lazy. But in actuality she needs shit to be explained to her like she’s 5 years old.
• Sporty, but her liability is of a football jock; athletic but brainless. And practically… lame at everything else.
• Cartoon logic made her physically weak.
• No intellectual capacity to realize Evil Jax is a manipulative love-bomber.
And while I do like the shippers thought process of: “If Funnybunny is a messy relationship, does that mean Evil Funnybunny is a healthy communicative relationship?” —Here’s my inverse-shipping take for CherryFool:
• Independence. They struggle, but handle shit themselves.
• Relationship is a bit rocky, but they know how to give each other space and when to confront.
• They don’t force anything on each other, nor do they influence one another. They encourage each other to act different sometimes, but ultimately letting “changes” be their choice and autonomy.
• Fandom says they're divorced, but they’re just taking a break. 🙃 Giving space is healthy.
• Everyone else in the circus cares for them one way or another.
• Co-dependent. Literally cling onto each other. (Evil Pomni for insecure reasons. Evil Jax for sadomasochistic reasons…)
• Do not give each other space. In fact… they never had a fight at all, but not in a good way. They never confront nor argue. Everything is bottled up due to dependence. No fights, means no healing or growth.
• Enable the worst in each other, by never encouraging “change” at all. They had “stayed the same” because of each other.
• From smooth-sailing to toxic.
• Practically a toxic married couple that would never suggest divorce at all.
• None of the Evil Big Tops care about those two, at all.
