The Erossian are the intelligent species that hails from the planet Erossia in the Festus Star System.
Biology
Erossians have hooves capable of cliff slides & trees, wings that enable flight, and claws to tear prey.
They have “darts” that fire from their wrists to manipulate how a target feels about the first living thing they see after being hit. Their ancestors used their darts for hunting prey and defending themselves from predators. Farmers use their darts to keep their livestock from fighting and promote breeding. Erossians are not fully immune to the effects of their darts, only having a resistance to them.
Culture
Erossians take great pride in their appearance, commonly grooming their mixture of fur and feathers for over four hours every day. This behavior extends to their belongings, keeping everything they own neat and organized.
Playing instruments and wrestling are common pastimes for Erossians. Many participant in gossiping, making it common practice to listen in on others and talk in hushed tones.
They live in a global empire, ruled by a god-emperor whose darts are the most powerfully.
Inspection
Their mixture of animal traits were inspired by biblically accurate cherubs having the head of a lion, cow, eagle, and human.
Their darts were inspired by the tales of Eros using golden arrows to make people fall in love and lead arrows to make people hate each other.
