Studied Lamentations Rabbah Proem 24 with my chevruta partner tonight! You know, the one that goes like this:

Jeremiah: Hey Moses, G-d requires you.

Moses (from the grave): So? When does G-d not require me?

Sometime Later...

Rachel: Listen G-d, I know you want to destroy Israel for worshiping idols, but remember that time when I was hiding under the bed while Jacob was sleeping with my sister? Anytime Jacob talked to her, I answered him to save Leah from embarrassing herself. Now if I can do that for my witch of a sister, you can certainly spare your beloved Israel from destruction for worshiping powerless idols.

G-d: Welp, you got me there.
