It's early in the morning when he wakes up to the frantic vibrating of his phone. It's Gillian. His heart starts beating faster. Why is she calling him at six a.m.? Something must be wrong.

David answers the phone, his voice gravely with sleep.

"Gillian? Is something wrong? Are you OK?"

There's the tiniest pause, and then a sound he doesn't quite understand at first. Behind it, he can hear her cackling.

"Oh, I get it. Chewbacca," he says, slightly irritated.

"Morning, Chewy!" she says, and there is a longer pause. It's so long that the mood becomes serious. "I miss you."

"I'll be there in a couple of days," he responds.

"Not soon enough."
