Tagging on to your post about Chewy Chews from MeChat, I hate how whoever wrote the MC we play as frequently calls him “horrifying” or “beastly” or anything of the like. I’d be telling him how gorgeous he is and how much I love him. Like, it can’t be pleasant from his perspective to be hearing “oh you’re monstrous and terrifying but you’re so sweet so I’m attracted to you” constantly from the MC. Like how are they even a monsterfucker then if they’re gonna practically insult him like that and have that point of view?

!!!!!! EXACTLY! Chewy isn't the only non-human character, even though he's the only "monster", some of the other non-human stories I've played through so far doesn't have this type of backhandedness from the mc. Like, you date a couple of anthro characters like a tiger god, a guy's use cursed to be a dog, a bunny lady, and a cat lady and the way the mc is written to not go back and fourth about how they're anthros and the fact that they're fucking them in the same way they do with Chewy being a monster is so weird to me. Especially with how long the mc acts this way with them.

The part where they had the mc talk about their kinks made me laugh and cringe at the same time bc, like, an actual monsterfucker wouldn't write that. Not like that at least. It very much has this "a non-teratophiliac & doesn't get it writes about falling in love with a monster bc monster romance is trending and they only know about the shape of water" about it. An actual monsterfucker wouldn't constantly have their mc go in circles about Chewy being a monster and being attracted to him. Probably in the first bit if they're not sure about themself, but those thoughts would've ended by now.
