ho my gawd i just seriously tumblr the fuck out of myself. on a side note i do want to say what's really annoying are those stupid meme's or gif's that are always talking down on girls like she's a hoe blah blah blah oh if her wi fi connects to their internet she's cheating type of bullshit i be seeing all the time. UH, how ABOUT a meme with a guys orgy face and it says "when he didn't warn you he was only going to be a one minute man.." YEAH. lame ass.

I consider myself a very mild men's rights activist; not so much an activist, as a supporter. But that's not important. I've been thinking about -- eugh -- babies and how unfair the process is. Especially concerning the financial responsibility of the father.

Now, see, I get it if he agreed to help. If the mother told him she was pregnant, and instead of voicing his actual opinion on the matter, he spouts whatever bullshit about support and raising it -- yeah, he's definitely financially responsible, even if he backs out. You made a decision when you found out about the pregnancy to raise the child, and support it financially.

But, what if he was never told? What if he said, outright from the beginning, "I don't want this child/I don't want to be responsible for this child"? I don't think he should have to be. That is, there are other things to this, but... 

Men don't have nearly as much choices afterward than woman. No matter what seem to happen, he is obligated to pay for that child. Women, however, can put it up for adoption, abort it, etc. Men can just sit back and let it happen, then pay. 

Props to the guys who step up anyways, even though it's massively unfair. That's what I call quads.

There's a lot to factor into it, but I think it's definitely unfair in a lot of cases.
