Sane people making fantasy maps: Squiggly lines yayyy! I'm gonna put the cold country all the way up in the north and the Fish God Country on an archipelago in the middle of the sea :)

Crazy people (me) making fantasy maps: ok but I need to reference a few things, just to make sure this kinda makes a bare minimum of sense.

Proceeds to pull up:

Tectonic plates world map

Mountain chains world map

Sea depth world map

Morphological world map

Climate zone world map

Geopolitical world map (need to know how big or small countries can possibily be!)

Ancient empires world map (cause things change during history!)

Spends 3 hours drawing continents in shapes that conform to lore (to be specific, easter egg lore that will never be stated in the story), then 2 hours agonizing over where to place mountains and climate zones. Still hasn't placed a single one of the countries she knows of.

I wonder why I never finished a map...
