"I told you that you'd end up wrapped up in this town." And she had, more or less, when they'd first reacquainted themselves at Cup Cake's. Autumn stood before one of the pieces in his galley, drinking it in until she'd seen him approaching in her peripherals. Of course she'd heard about him and Jesse, TheTea was almost inescapable in Carroll.
Part of her was jealous, that little, immature part of her that hated sharing what felt like hers. But she bit it back, swallowed it back like bile and did her best to remind herself she wasn't here for a fight.
"I need a piece for my sister. I'd be surprised if you hadn't met her yet."
