1. favorite fic you wrote this year
This is a hard one - I’ve written so much this year so picking is nearly impossible but, in terms of WIP, my favourite fic I’ve written this year would be Nefelibata. It’s not my long time baby TCOL, but it is the first fic in a long time that when I sat down and wrote, I could just keep going. The ideas came naturally, the flow felt nice, I loved how it read and honestly it’s the thing that cemented my current writing style. In terms of completed fics, I would have to go with Leave Me Alone (I’m Lonely) - My poker pair fic for day 4 that I dedicated to Danny~.
5. most popular fic this year
So this is going to be a rather skewed result since I wrote for the MCU this year and it’s got a much higher traffic flow. It was Heart according to Hits and Kudos though, which as expected is MCU and is a frostiron piece~ If I remove MCU though, shockingly enough my next highest non-MCU is risk - a little thing I wrote for the Hobbit. Huh. That was not what I expected tbh.
11. fandom you enjoyed writing for the most this year
I’ve loved writing for all of my fandoms this year - I’ve loved branching out for the first time in years and giving myself the freedom to write for more but while Ghost Hunt is my forever fandom - the fandom I will always return to and that I consistently write for, the fandom I’ve enjoyed most this year in terms of writing and just for interaction is 10000% dgm.
12. favorite character to write about this year
This is a tough one again. I’ve adored writing about Allen Walker and really following his thought patterns, but I think I have to give this one to Naru from Ghost Hunt. I’ve explored his psyche a lot this year and he’s a very complex character so I’ve really enjoyed going through and figuring out how he would think in each situation. (That said, Allen is by far my favourite to write dialogue for because he’s such a brat-)
25. a fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read
God, this is tough because I’ve read a ridiculous amount of fic this year and I love every fandom just so god damn much >.Love Takes Time by Amaratta ; an older bleach fic but no less amazing for it. Anything by Tierfal or Shanastoryteller for RoyEd has been an absolute god send. You Got Me by drunkonwriting is just one of many hobbit fics I would rec so hard this year. Annnnd I will leave it at that - though for dgm I will always rec anything my hilarions, Dannyikigay, Kitty-bandit, Chrismrys and Candy (though I love all our writers, ;w; they’re so talented and I’m too lazy to list them all.)
