I’ve been a fan of Orlando Jones since he co-hosted a show called SoundFX back when the FX Network was a tiny baby fledgling. I don’t know if any of y’all reading this have even HEARD of that show.

He left that for MadTV, which I watched until he left.

He was one of the best parts of Sleepy Hollow, until they wrote him out.

In an EXTREMELY lackluster s2 of American Gods, Mr. Nancy was one of the few bright spots. Also, apparently the scripts were so bad and ooc that the actors were rewriting huge chunks, and they had to get Orlando in to sign off on the rewrites because he’s in the Writer’s Guild.

So basically? Anything good from the trainwreck of s2 we owe to Orlando Jones.

And now in a season that will see MARILYN MANSON get a multi-episode arc, he’s been fired for playing an African god as TOO ANGRY for what Black America needs right now.

Y’all Good Omens was fine, but American Gods had the potential to be great. Something special. But nah. I think it’s p much fucked itself at this point.
