Chicago--July 18, 1913
A grand jury indicts four men for tampering with ballots in November elections. The actions of three of the men were shown to support State’s Attorney Hoyne. All four have gone into hiding across the lake. It isn’t known how the men were tipped off but it’s believed they will come back to Chicago once the terms of their bail are set.

A farmer outside Oak Forest discovers the body of an unknown woman hanging from the cross bar of a fence post just off the county highway. She was hanging from a strip of cloth torn from her white dress and is thought to have been there st least two days.
