I celebrated my Chicago-versary today by listening to 93WXRT (I love Lin Brehmer + Terri Hemmert) + we ordered Chicago's pizza for dinner (I do prefer thin crust). I'm so happy to actually have been in town for this special day. We did have a 'Relocation Consultant' come to our apartment today to make some estimates on how much it's going to cost for us to move a lot of our belongings from Chicago to Los Angeles... yup, it's a bittersweet day as this will be my last Chicago-versary spent in Chicago. Tomorrow we begin our search for a new place in LA as our lease in Chicago is up October 1. More of those details to come but for today: I was here in the city I've spent nearly half of my life in. The city I love so very dearly. My sweet home Chicago.

What happened horrible experience . Opening 9 months ago we had 3 great visits with great food and service always eating inside. Absolutely terrible Pizza the Mexican Style wasted 17 bucks for a pie with overload of sliced Jalapeno about 6 per pc. That's all you could taste. Had other tiny pieces of Meat a total rip off. The dough not the same as first open. They got cheap had a Yelp ten percent discount all gone. Order a Salad they forgot the jumbo house made bread stick WTF . Owner was always in house on our lunch time visits, now run by a couple kid's at night. Chicago's Pizza hot n new on Allen Road 4 doors over from Dollar Show. Over 2 decades in SW DETROIT pushing out great Pizza, Subs n Salad. We had to visit this new 2nd location Downtown Allen Park. We had a delicious All Meat Pizza outstanding perfect mixture of Meats n Cheese on a fluffy Pizza dough. Also a Chef's Salad came with a mega hot Pizza bread, me a Sub with Steak Cheese and Chorizo a special order that come with bed of great Curly Fries. Mega deal on them Subs and get this opening special 3 Slices Pizza and Pop only 3 Bucks, hot on counter under heat lamp. They have great specialty items Mexican Pizza with Chorizo finally no one Downriver making these. Looking forward to another visit really soon.
