This is Ginger, a bantam of various unknown mixed breeds. She frowns upon roosting like a normal chicken and instead sleeps in the rafters of the coop. She enjoys head massages, jumping on things, and trying to take on the Boss Hen, who is three times her size.

Constance is supposed to be a blue laced red wyandotte but I have some doubts. She's still very pretty though; my dad picked her for the lacing on her wings. She's rather cranky, like her namesake Constance Contraire from the Mysterious Benedict Society series.

Shirley is a lavender Orpington and a CHONK. She's so fluffy that she rolls out of my hands. Not surprisingly, she is Boss Hen and if the others get any funny ideas, she sits on them.

This is Penny, sometimes Penelope when she's bad. She's the smartest of the flock but not by much. She knows that she gets treats when she follows me onto the porch. Her favorite treat is corn. Born spring 2017.

Valerie is named after Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus. Despite having a pun for a name she manages to be both the most punk bird in the flock and the softest to pet. Tolbunt Polish frizzle with bonus mohawk. Born 6/4/19.

Minkle is half White Rock, half Cochin, and 100% sweetheart. Her name is actually a made-up swear word from the Australian children's show Little Lunch but she Doesn't Let That Stop Her. Born 6/4/19.
