it was ok, but the last episode was horrible. The show does best when it’s doing self-contained mysteries instead of ~big deep conspiracy~ spiels. The first 2 eps were mostly fine though…I don’t really understand the universal hatred? Is it association with superwholock or

i think it’s a combination of the two lead actors and the showrunner not being well liked because they’ve all made some pretty bad comments, association with superwholock and with queerbaiting, taking 2+ years to air its 3 episode long seasons (if there’s ever a hiatus that killed my interest in a show /hard/ it was that), and a couple of nasty plot points (did you all know there’s one lesbian in the show and she falls in love with holmes)

basically it was kind of riding on the novelty of it’s interesting cinematography and modern day premise  which cant really stick around for years and years for most people

on a lesser scale there's the 2 old married ladies in the 10th doc-era ep Gridlock. It's been a while and they were minor characters but for some reason I remember the doc being a little homophobic w them? wow. my dr who days feel like several lifetimes ago

it wasn’t the doctor i think, it was the cat dude. the joke was that he was homophobic but like, a cat dude in a relationship with a human woman
