they know each other through branzy, and they hate each other through branzy. chief’s known his lavender for years, then some creepy clown guy comes and sweeps him off his feet? not on his watch
clown doesn’t know why some stupid squid guy is so obsessed with branzy, but he may tease him a little, flirting with branzy and all, smug smirk adorning his face.
branzy doesn’t really care for either of them (romantically — they’re good friends of course), but he finds it entertaining. Maybe he plays into the flirting a bit more when they’re both around, sue him for wanting drama!
and while this love angle is going on, perhaps clown finds himself staring a bit long, or chief dreams of a certain jester shaped man, but surely these instances come from hatred based emotions. Surely.
