Biographical and educational history
Chioma Omeruah was born on the 14th of May 1976 in Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria, to Late Air Commodore Samson Omeruah, and his wife Mrs Omeruah, as the second child, and first daughter of four children. Her father was a strict disciplinarian and a public figure.Her father was once a Military Governor in Anambra State. Chigul attended Airforce Secondary School, Jos, first for her primary education, but failed in form four. As a result, she had to leave Jos to continue her schooling at Airforce Secondary School Ikeja, Lagos. Chigul left Jos because her father felt it would be a slight to his status, and personality if she repeated a class.Even though she changed schools, her academic performance didn’t improve. Chigul wrote WAEC and Jamb several times in different schools and failed. Finally, she passed her exams and got an offer of admission to study at the Abia State University (ABSU). She attended ABSU for three months but left because of strike.In 1994, Chigul left ABSU to study Criminal Law at Delaware State University.
