“The Joy of Becoming a Child Again”

I never really liked the idea of being perfect or exemplary — or becoming some kind of respectable senior everyone looks up to. What truly excites me are the silly little questions like, “What if I mix this color with that one — will it look ugly or beautiful?” Then I just do it.

Like today, I came up with this idea of rubbing pencil dust on a flower and pressing it onto paper. My hands turned pitch black, the result looked messy — but it was fun. Honestly, I found it even more beautiful than the skull drawing I spent a whole week on.

I wish people could learn to enjoy life like that. Not in the way my hardworking mother does — loving everything out of duty — but in a way that’s mindless and creative, just because we want to. Maybe it’s shallow, meaningless, doesn’t make money.

But it’s fun. Isn’t that enough?

And when I looked at the drawing, I remembered my own bright face, my friend’s “what-on-earth-are-you-doing” look, and my teacher’s amused expression — as if I were a mischievous kid playing with dirt.

But somehow, they all smiled🌼

Trying something new. It's my daughter birthday and we decided to go ice skating. I know my Ancestors enjoyed this. I was filled with child energy...Nothing but joy.
