The last time I got into an intelligent conversation with highly educated white people about a black artist using their power for the greater good (Beyoncé’s “Formation”) they contacted my boss and insisted that I was “hostile” and “aggressive” though they told me to my face - and I’m paraphrasing here: “You’re pretty smart for a black guy”. I’ve always had a problem with raised voices and I’m a big proponent of thinking before you talk. Furthermore, I’m probably one of the calmest people you will ever meet despite how difficult it is to be who I am in this forsaken country. Since I lost a job (that I loved) the last time, I’m going to refrain from using this subject as a conversation piece, but I’ll keep on fighting the good fight and infiltrating your circles in the hopes of dissipating stigma as much as I possibly can. #ChildishBambino
