Every Journey Must Begin Somewhere
So here's the deal. I'm terrified to try new things in public forums. The thought of trying and failing where people can see is anxiety-making, to say the least. But... I want to show myself (and anyone else who feels this way and might someday stumble across this by happenstance) that it's possible to fail at something and have the grace to get up and try again.
I've decided to embark upon a year long journey of attempting something entirely new. I have never drawn before, but always have watched in awe as others on the interwebs and in the outside world display their hard won talents. So this is my promise: every day for the next year, I will draw, paint, or sketch a portrait of a person. I will begin with whoever inspires me, but if anyone sends me a picture I'll do my fair best to reproduce it, no questions asked. May hap it'll be just the laugh some friendly person out there needs to brighten their day.
