I know as a child I would have enjoy having the fidgets and sensory activities , I know my child has benefited from a lot of the tools we now have an crazy amount of.

I haven't gotten this specific sensory board but I saw it and thought it would be a great idea for traveling , my child loves playing with slime or even making it . I've learned that having something easily available specially when traveling is a must have.

ADHD in Children

Let me be clear ADHD has been over diagnosed in children , but that does not mean , you should just ignore the signs , please also do your research in more depth , also do not try for a diagnosis on children under the age 4 . ADHD is hereditary there is a gene past from the parent or ancestors to the child .

Since me and my Child's father both have ADHD we knew it could be a high probability they would have it , however we waited until school before the diagnosis because a lot of the symptoms listed are normal behaviors for children 4 and under.

We have been looking into all the different ways of parenting, we are trying to “gentle parent” but find it really difficult not getting frustrated with myself and my child because what being communicated is not getting across to my child or my child to me !

We have been using some of the techniques from the book “ Discipline Your Kids with Positive Parenting” by Nicole Libin, PhD , we have yet to read through the whole book but so far some of the tools in the book have really helped at home ! Such as coming together and discussing screen-time and coming up with a solution that can be agreed to by both parents and child.
