Long-tailed chinchilla (Chinchilla lanigera) in Las Chinchillas National Reserve, Choapa Province, Coquimbo Region, Chile. These poor animals have been hunted to the edge of extinction all because humans want their dense and soft fur. The wild ones now can be only found in this nature reserve. 30 Sep 2017.
