Chile, 2019.

THIS IS A SOCIAL CRISIS.
Our government doesn't listen to us, we've been for over 30 years paying for the rich to get richer.
Our elders commit suicide in an alarming rate because they can't make it to the end of the month.
If you're poor, you'll die waiting for a doctor to see you. You'll get your appointment when you're long gone and burried.
Police is killing, torturing, maiming and raping us and the government gives them all the right to do so.
Over 200 people has lost at least one eye to police pellets. But yes, to our authorities some broken shit is more important than a person's life.
IF THERE ARE NO SOLUTIONS, THERE WILL BE NO PEACE.
✨✨✨
Yesterday marked 1 month that Chile has been protesting. Approximately 23 people have been killed by police, 200+ have lost an eye from close range shots done by police and military. Metro stations and super markets that have been burnt have been used as torture centers where police abuse men women and children. 30+ cases of rape or sexual violence done by police to men and women. 2000+ have been injured in some way by police, 6000+ are being detained or have disappeared (kidnapped by police/military). The Chilean people protest with flags and banners and are met with chemical water cannons, suffocating clouds of tear gas, or have been shot at by “rubber bullets” which are indeed not rubber.
No police casualties, and 1 police officer was slightly injured by a Molotov. United Nations hasn’t bothered, the media has lied and blocked videos of the truth. Photographers are being threatened for showing what the police are doing. Please spread this news. I have personally been assaulted by the Chilean police while trying to photograph them during the student protests while they grabbed, beat and detained children. Please listen, because the USA won’t show you what’s happening. USA has a close tie with Chile and was responsible for their last dictatorship led by Pinochet. Thank you for spreading this, the Chilean people need help and a voice.
