remember when production gave jeff the coup d’etat aka the most overpowered twist in the game which he used to completely ruin chima’s hoh and then when she was rightfully pissed about it and decided to stop trying bc it was blatantly rigged they gave her an edit that made her seem like she was crazy and delusional before expelling her 🙃

Let's be real. CBS/Big Brother only chooses to "punish" houseguests when it's convenient for CBS/Big Brother. A post-show ban on Scottie is easy, a during-show removal of JC would complicate the broadcast and create extra work. I've always believed they were fine with Chima leaving because she created more work and stress than producers were willing to endure. Big Brother has always been selectively blind to houseguests transgressions and "rule breaking" as long as it serves their preferred narrative and ratings-baiting goals.
